ETHEL — The East Feliciana Sheriff's Office announced on Friday that La. 19, between La. 955 and Battle Road, will be closed this afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Officials are closing the highway so that a tow company can recover a box truck that ran off the road into a creek late last night.

Only local traffic will be allowed in the area while work is being completed.

Officials say they will inform the public as soon as the highway reopens.
