ST. GEORGE — A minor gas leak happened during construction near the intersection of Airline and Jefferson highways in St. George on Tuesday morning. 

According to a spokesperson for the St. George Fire Department, the gas leak lasted less than an hour after it was first reported around 9:19 a.m.

The gas leak happened when fiber optic cable crews struck a Delta Utilities gas line.
