BATON ROUGE – The Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership has a new president and CEO.

Paige Carter is the current Chief Business Development Officer at Louisiana Economic Development, a position she has held since returning to the agency in June 2024.

"Louisiana has secured over $260 billion in announced investment since 2024, and now our focus must be on turning that historic success into lasting growth," Carter said in a statement Tuesday. "The Capital Region has the assets, employers, talent, and communities to help bring these projects to fruition, and I look forward to working alongside our partners to build on those strengths, support the businesses already here, and create a stronger economic future for the people who call this region home."

Before her current role at LED, Carter was the LSU Foundation's executive director of industry engagement. She also served as LED's director of business development.

"Paige brings an exceptional combination of economic development experience, relationship building and a deep understanding of how to bring business, education and government together around shared opportunities," Klein Kirby, chair of the Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership's board of directors and its search committee, said.

Carter takes over as president and CEO in January.
