BERWICK — A Berwick man has been arrested after alleged sexual misconduct with a juvenile.

According to police, a complaint regarding inappropriate behavior involving a juvenile was submitted on Oct. 26. The juvenile was allegedly being abused by a family member over the course of several years. 

Lester Dupont, 44, was identified as a suspect.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Dupont, as well as a search warrant for a home along Robicheaux Alley in Berwick. 

Dupont was arrested Friday after being found at the home. He was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile. His bond was set at $100,000.
