Williams was originally found unresponsive on July 1 before being taken to the hospital, where she later died.
According to Addis Police, investigators initially believed Williams died after a dresser fell on her. Investigators now believe the crime scene was manipulated.
Investigators said that Dorsey and Butler had a domestic altercation, with dispatchers claiming to have heard fighting in the background during an initial 911 call from Dorsey's home that evening. After a later call, police found the child unresponsive and Dorsey with facial injuries.
Williams allegedly suffered extensive injuries, including head and brain injuries, injuries to her neck and back, broken ribs, a lacerated kidney and liver, along with other serious injuries.
The pair was indicted for second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. The case has been set for motions on September 2.
