BAKER — The Baker Police Department is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian that happened Monday along La. 19. 

Police said that the crash involved a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Authorities closed both lanes of the roadway between Ben Williams and Spur lanes.

The road will be closed until the investigation into the crash is complete, police added.

In addition to the Baker Police Department, deputies from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office responded to the crash.
