BATON ROUGE — A pickleball event benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is returning to Baton Rouge for its third year.

The Serve for St. Jude Pickleball Social is set for Oct. 10 at Court To Table on Burbank Drive. The event is presented by Assurance Cares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Last year, the event drew more than 200 attendees and raised more than $50,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. More than $30,000 of that came through a silent auction alone.

This year's event will include pickleball, local businesses, a silent auction, music and family activities. Local St. Jude patient families will also share their stories throughout the event.
