WBR deputies arrest BRPD fugitive on drug dealing, other charges
PORT ALLEN — West Baton Rouge Parish deputies arrested a Baton Rouge man on drug dealing charges; the man was also wanted in Baton Rouge on various charges, including flight from an officer.
According to deputies, they were called to a business along Lobdell Highway on Thursday after reports of a traffic complaint that started on I-10.
When they arrived around 8:50 a.m., deputies found a car driven by 33-year-old Dalvin Booker, who deputies quickly learned was wanted for aggravated flight from an officer and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon by Baton Rouge Police.
Deputies also found packaged fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as a stolen firearm and drug paraphernalia.
Booker was then arrested and booked into the West Baton Rouge Detention Center on the following charges:
Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl
Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Illegal Carrying of a Firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
