SPRING CREEK — Tangipahoa Parish deputies are investigating after a woman was severely injured when an object was thrown into the windshield of her semi-truck along La. 1054. 

On Aug. 16, the woman was driving her truck near Forbes Road in the Spring Creek area when her windshield suddenly broke, shattering portions into the passenger compartment. Glass from the break severely injured one of her eyes, which she continues to receive medical treatment for, as of Thursday morning.

An investigation revealed that a person inside a red, four-door sedan with chrome rims was passing the semi-truck in the opposite direction and threw an object at the windshield.

Dash camera video in the semi-truck captured the incident and the suspect vehicle, deputies said.
