BATON ROUGE — Ochsner Health has expanded pediatric and women's healthcare services at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove, adding more physicians, new clinical areas and increased appointment availability for families in the Capital Region.

The expansion brings six new pediatric physicians, including two general pediatricians and four specialists in gastroenterology, cardiology, urology and neurology, along with two new OB-GYNs and more than 100 new team members.

Ochsner now offers same-day and next-day pediatric appointments, with extended clinic hours from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

The Ochsner Children's Shaquille O'Neal Pediatric Super Clinic at The Grove features a wide range of pediatric specialties and support services, including behavioral health, speech and language pathology and therapy. New signage at the clinic recognizes O'Neal's partnership with Ochsner and his commitment to children's health in the region.

The expansion is part of a $50 million multi-phase effort to increase access to care across the Capital Region. Ochsner plans to hire 80 more physicians and advanced practice providers over the next two years.
