MAUREPAS — The Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce celebrated the ribbon-cutting for Crown & Pearl in Maurepas on Monday.

Owner Lauri built the shop after losing her husband. Crown represents her faith, Pearl represents timeless elegance and together they tell the story of a woman who turned her heartbreak into a place for others to heal. 

The apparel/gift store features a cozy space where fellow widows and women of faith can gather and study. 

The story is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
