BATON ROUGE — LSU Athletics has issued an urgent advisory alerting fans to heightened security measures, road closures and stadium entry adjustments ahead of Saturday's matchup against Alabama at Tiger Stadium.

The elevated security protocols follow the announcement that First Lady Melania Trump will attend the rivalry game to present a $5 million gift from an LSU Foundation donor, establishing a permanent endowed scholarship for her Fostering the Future initiative.

Working alongside the U.S. Secret Service and local law enforcement, LSU officials are urging ticket holders to prepare for widespread campus delays and extended screening times.

Interior campus streets will begin shutting down at 5 a.m. Saturday. Stadium gates open at 9 a.m. Fans are advised to arrive significantly earlier than usual to clear security checkpoints.

Strict screening measures will be enforced at all stadium entrances. Attendees should review the official prohibited items list before approaching the gates to prevent entrance delays. Prohibited items include aerosols, bicycles, coolers, drones, laser pointers, pepper spray, selfie sticks, toy guns, weapons, etc.

Due to security perimeters and access route restrictions around the stadium, LSU has updated entry points for suite holders and fans requiring accessible routing: Gates 11–12 and Gates 22–28 will scan suite tickets for patrons requiring ADA or alternative accessible pathways. Once inside, fans heading to the suites should proceed east/southeast toward Gates 20–21 to reach the suite elevators.

Fans encountering issues on campus or inside the stadium can text "LSU" plus their issue and location to 69050.

The area surrounding LSU's Chemical Engineering Building and Power House will be restricted to the public. Fans can use the designated walkway from South Stadium Drive to Field House Drive.
