HAMMOND — The FBI, alongside Hammond Police and other agencies, is executing a search warrant at an unoccupied building in the 800 block of Southwest Railroad Avenue. 

Tuesday's operation, the FBI says, poses no threat to the public.  

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and take an alternate route to work or school, Hammond Police said. 

"We decline to comment further at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation," FBI New Orleans said.
