GONZALES — Roddy Road at J D Gautreau Road in Ascension Parish was shut down in both directions on Friday due to a downed power line across the roadway.

According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, the downed power line was caused by a broken pole.

Drivers in the area should use caution and seek an alternate route.
