BRPD: Man armed with hammer arrested for carjacking at Sushi Masa
BATON ROUGE — A man who was allegedly armed with a hammer as he carjacked a woman at a restaurant along Essen Lane was arrested, the Baton Rouge Police Department said.
Joshua Porter was arrested for armed robbery.
The victim, who works at Sushi Masa, said she got into her car around midnight on Sunday. She was inside the vehicle for less than five minutes when a man holding a hammer approached her car.
She told WBRZ that the man opened the door and ripped her out of the vehicle before taking off.
Police said that they were able to locate the vehicle within minutes and that Porter admitted to the robbery.
