BAYOU L'OURSE — A woman was arrested in connection with an attempted burglary on Friday, according to the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office. 

On Sept. 8, deputies responded to La Jaunie Court, where they made contact with a man who noticed that the doors to a shed on the property were open. According to the man, video surveillance showed two female suspects attempting to make forced entry into the building. 

Using the footage, deputies identified and arrested 64-year-old Nona Daigle on charges of criminal trespass and attempted simple burglary. 

The investigation remains ongoing, with deputies expecting an additional arrest.
