PATTERSON — Four pets were rescued from a house fire on Tiffany Street in Patterson on Saturday evening.

According to the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department, the fire occurred around 6:10 p.m. when firefighters arrived to find a home with moderate smoke showing.

Fire officials said the homeowner advised that everyone was out of the residence and accounted for as fire crews quickly brought the flames under control. Firefighters were able to rescue four pets that were inside the residence at the time of the fire. 

The Bayou Vista, Berwick and Centerville fire departments also assisted in extinguishing the fire due to the extreme heat conditions.

There were no reported injuries.
