St. George Zoning Commission approves sports complex plan

ST. GEORGE — The St. George Zoning Commission approved the final development plan for a new sports complex Monday night.

Renderings show what the two-story complex off Airline Highway and Antioch Road could look like.

City leaders envision the facility being used for sports tournaments, school graduations and other events for the Capital Region.

Work could start in 2027 and be completed by the end of 2028.

Earlier this year, the city council approved a 55-acre development district to help fund the project.
