CENTRAL — A dog was rescued from a house that caught fire along Greenwell Springs Road. 

According to the Central Fire Department, fire crews responded just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday to a home near the intersection of Greenwell Springs Road and Bellingrath Lakes Avenue. 

Greenwell Springs Road was closed for a few hours, Central Fire added. 

No injuries were reported, officials noted.
