ST. GEORGE - The St. George Fire Department filed a lawsuit against fire truck manufacturers following the city of Baton Rouge filed lawsuits against the same companies.

The lawsuit, filed Friday by St. George Fire Protection District 2, names Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc., REV Group, Inc., Oshkosh Corporation, Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., Rosenbauer America, LLC and the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers Association as defendants.

No other information was immediately available regarding the St. George lawsuit.

WBRZ previously reported on the Baton Rouge lawsuit, where the city said the defendants worked together to artificially raise fire truck prices and limit production, forcing municipalities to pay more and wait longer for new equipment.
