BATON ROUGE — Southern University is celebrating its homecoming this week with several activities taking place throughout the week. 

This year's theme is "Nobody Does It Better."

The week includes a range of events for all ages, including Lacumba's Lair, the chancellor's elevated tailgate experience, and the Southern Jaguars' football game against the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions at A.W. Mumford Stadium.

Students and residents can look forward to the following events: 

Sunday, September 27:
- Southern University women's volleyball vs. Grambling State University at 12 p.m. in the H.W. Moody Intramural Sports Complex
- Southern University Homecoming Parade at 1 p.m. in Scotlandville
- Southern University Homecoming Family Reunion: Gospel and R&B Experience at 4 p.m. on the Amphitheater Lawn

Monday, September 28:
- Ecumenical Service at 10 a.m. at the F.G. Clark Activity Center
- Bites & Insights with Wells Fargo at 12 p.m. at the Donald C. Wade House
- Aux Cord Wars at 7 p.m. at the F.G. Clark Activity Center (for current students only)

Tuesday, September 29:
- Mind Your MANNRS at the Southern University Ag Center at 11 a.m.
- Homecoming Concert at the F.G. Clark Activity Center at 7 p.m. (for current students only) 

Wednesday, September 30:
- Annual Health Fair at the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union at 10 a.m.
- Pretty Wednesday: Who Does It Best? at the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union Courtyard at 12 p.m.
- The Homecoming Tee Stop at the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union Courtyard at 1:30 p.m.
- Miss SU Coronation: Crowned Amongst the Stars at the F.G. Clark Activity Center at 7 p.m.

Thursday, October 1:
- Jag Fresh Market: Produce, Paint and Pilates at the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union Courtyard at 10 a.m.
- Jaguar Talk: Beyond the Bluff Speaker Series at the Leon R. Tarver II Cultural and Heritage Center at 11 a.m.
