BATON ROUGE — Southern University, along with the Southern University Law Center and the SU Ag Center, will have a delayed start on Tuesday after a power outage on campus. 

According to a message sent to Southern students and staff, campus operations and classes will begin at 1 p.m.

The Southern University Laboratory School will be closed for the day, however.

Limited meal services will be available at the Mayberry and Dunn dining halls, officials added.

"Crews are assessing the situation, and there is not yet an estimated time for power restoration," officials noted.
