Over 4,500 without power in Tangipahoa Parish amid severe thunderstorms
HAMMOND — More than 4,500 people lost power in Tangipahoa Parish on Monday afternoon, according to Entergy's power outage map.
The map shows several thousand customers without electricity, mostly scattered throughout the Hammond and Loranger areas.
As reported by Storm Station Meteorologist Malcolm Byron, viewer-submitted video shows a possible tornado near Hammond.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Tangipahoa Parish through 3:45 p.m., as well as one for East Feliciana, West Feliciana and East Baton Rouge Parishes through 4:30 p.m.
