BATON ROUGE - The LSU game day RV lot off River Road was filled with Tiger fans as early as Thursday evening, as they await LSU's big game against Clemson.

Tracy and Jason Hawkins say they arrived at the lot around 5 p.m. Thursday. This will be their 4th year with an RV spot.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," LSU fan Jason Hawkins said.
"It's family tradition, so our kids have season tickets, so they'll be out here tomorrow to tailgate with us, so the whole family is coming," Hawkins wife, Tracy, added.

Not too far down from the Hawkins, we found Josh Mannino, who says it's his first time ever tailgating RV-style.

"It was my Father's Day gift from my mother-in-law to come out here, have AC for a Labor Day weekend game, so this is just what we're doing," Mannino said.

For some groups, the experience goes beyond just tailgating.

"For us it's just making so many good friends, I mean you can walk to any one of the campers around here, and you'll meet some good friends," LSU fan Perry Falcon said.

With a new head coach and a lot of buzz surrounding LSU football, some fans say the energy around the lot feels different compared to previous seasons.

"It's really peak excitement to me; it's going to be crazy tomorrow," LSU fan Fred Bruner said.

Many fans have high expectations for the season.

"As much as it cost us to come here this year, it better be good," Falcon said.
