BATON ROUGE - Deputies are searching for a thief who broke into a Mexican restaurant on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard, stole the cash register and bottles of liquor. 

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 29, the thief used a brick to get into El Paso Mexican Grill. 

The thief took several bottles of alcohol, the register and then walked away.
