HAMMOND — The D.A.D. Project and Hammond Recreation are hosting a free event for fathers and male role models focused on father engagement.

The event is set for Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Hammond Recreation Department, located at 601 West Coleman Ave.

Fathers, uncles, grandfathers, mentors and positive male role models are all welcome to attend. Organizers say the event is designed to bring men together, build connections, strengthen families and make a positive impact in the community.

The gathering is described as a safe space where attendees will discuss the importance of father engagement. Those interested can sign up here.
