The start of the school year is coming up, and multiple events are being held across the capital area for school supplies, including WBRZ's Stuff the Bus.

Beyond Stuff the Bus, here are events across the capital region's parishes:

Ascension Parish

YouthFest 2026

The event helps families get "school supplies and backpacks to uniforms and more, all in one place!"

Assumption Parish

Assumption Parish Back-to-School Community Giveaway Program
July 25 (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.), Assumption Parish Community Center
The event includes a school supply giveaway and other events to help students "begin the year with confidence."

Back 2 School All Ages Event
July 28 (5 p.m. - 8 p.m.), Bayou L'Ourse Ball Park - Community Center
Event includes school supply giveaway, free haircuts for kids, resources and slightly used uniforms.

East Baton Rouge Parish

District 7 Pack the Sack Back to School Event
July 18 (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.), 4000 Gus Young Avenue

Charity Christian Center Back to School Giveaway
July 25 (9 a.m. until supplies last) 871 O'Neal Lane 

Zachary Back-to-School Giveaway
Aug. 1 (10 a.m. until supplies last), Zachary High School Gymnasium
Elementary, high school and college students are welcome. Attendees are highly encouraged to bring at least one canned food item to donate to the Zachary Food Pantry.

Family Services of Greater Baton Rouge Back to School Health and Wellness Expo
Aug. 1 (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.), 4727 Revere Avenue
This free event offers individual counseling, group counseling, supervised visitation and other services to assist with mental health and wellness.

East Feliciana Parish

East Feliciana Public Schools Health and School Readiness Luau
July 25 (11 a.m. - 3 p.m.) Steam Academy at 9414 Plank Road in Clinton
The free event will not only offer school supplies but will also feature music, food and water activities. 

St. Helena Parish

St. Helena Parish School District Back to School Community Event
July 29 (11 a.m. - 2 p.m.) St. Helena College and Career Academy
The event will feature free school supplies, barbers, live music and healthy living break-out sessions

West Baton Rouge Parish 

WBRSchools Stuff the Bus

Uniforms for Kids Distribution
July 24 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.) Port Allen Elementary Auditorium
Uniform distribution for West Baton Rouge Parish Public Schools for students in Head Start to 8th grade.
