BERWICK — Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a Wednesday fire, according to the Berwick Police Department.

The fire happened at an office building on 3rd Street.

Police say investigators spent the day executing search warrants, conducting interviews and following up on tips from the community. Those efforts led to the identification of three teenagers believed to be responsible for offenses related to the fire.

The three teenagers, ages 14, 13 and 13, each face charges of simple arson, two counts of injury by arson, simple burglary and criminal damage to property.

The Berwick Police Department worked alongside the Berwick Fire Department and the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office throughout the investigation. Because of the ages of those arrested, police say no additional identifying information will be released.

The investigation remains ongoing and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
