BATON ROUGE — Seniors in Baton Rouge were treated to a special night that every teenager dreams of on Saturday.

The Pride of Baton Rouge Lodge #210 hosted Senior Prom: A Red Carpet Event honoring the senior citizens of Old Jefferson Community Care Center. 

"Some of these people have never been to prom before, some of our residents," said Jan Wells, Administrator of the Old Jefferson Community Care Center. "So everybody just got into it and made it a very fabulous night for our residents."

The goal was to give seniors an elegant and memorable prom experience, which included a red carpet, dinner, dancing and music. 

"They have just been excited; we've been working on this for a couple of months. They went shopping for a dress here... We have been doing nails and hair for three days."

Wells said that residents of the care center enjoyed the experience as the party continued into the night.
