BATON ROUGE — On Sunday, families from across Baton Rouge joined community leaders for a bike ride to raise money for Front Yard Bikes.

The organization, which began as a community bike shop focused on teaching people how to fix and maintain bikes, aims to help youth in the community develop healthy, fulfilling and productive lives.

Riders began at the BREC Botanical Gardens on Independence Boulevard before taking the bike parade through Mid City.
