ASCENSION — A main water line in Ascension Parish is out of service after being accidentally damaged by a contractor. 

According to the Ascension Parish community alerting system, the Utility Department is currently on site and working to restore the water line as quickly as possible. 

Residents in the area are also warned that they may experience low water pressure during repairs. 

It is currently unclear where the line is located and the full scope of impact.
