WACO, Texas - Ascension Parish baseball hit its first roadblock at the Little League Southwest Region Tournament in a 3-2 loss against Tulsa National (Oklahoma).

Ascension went down swinging. They entered the top of the sixth inning trailing 3-1, and Trace Haydel brought in a run to make it 3-2. Down to their final out with the bases loaded, Liam Hohl was inches away from giving his team the lead, but a sharp hit line drive was caught in right field.

With the loss, Ascension Parish now must play an elimination game to earn a rematch with team Oklahoma. That game will be on Monday at 3:00 p.m. on ESPN.
