BATON ROUGE - Last season, the Belaire Bengals hosted their first playoff game in 17 years, going 6-4 on the season. Head coach Byron Wade has made tremendous progress since taking over in 2020.
The Bengals are going to be extremely young this season, graduating 16 seniors in May.

LSU's Kim Mulkey lands top woman's player in the country for Tiger team

LSU's Kim Mulkey didn't have to go to far to find the nation's best women's high school basketball player, and when she got there she made sure to do everything she could to get her to be a Tiger.

LSU forward Tari Eason selected 17th overall in the NBA draft to the Houston Rockets

BROOKLYN - LSU forward Tari Eason becomes the 17th Tiger selected in the first round of the NBA draft. The Houston Rockets select Eason with the 17th pick.
Eason won the SEC 6th man of the year, leading LSU in scoring with 16.9 points, and 1.1 blocks.

Head coach Brett Beard enters the 2022 season with 39 seniors at Denham Springs, the most he's ever had as a coach. One of those is 4 star quarterback Reese Mooney who returns after breaking his leg in Week 4 of last season. It's a talented bunch that has weapons on both sides of the football and is hoping to put some early playoff exits in the rearview in hopes of surging the program deep into the 5A playoffs.

The Walker Wildcats are trying to build on their 3-6 season from a year ago as head coach Chad Mahaffey looks to build a consistent program in Livingston Parish.
Breaking in new offensive linemen and defensive linemen, Mahaffey will rely on both offensive and defensive skill players to help improve their win total.

Tiger baseball players earn All-American honors

Two of the LSU's best hitters were recognized for their efforts this season as outfielder Dylan Crews was named a first-team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association and third baseman Jacob Berry made it on their third-team.
