Digital Content Producer
WBRZ.com has an immediate opening for an aggressive digital journalist. The position produces written, video and other digital stories to WBRZ.com, Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts daily. Willing to work weekends, mornings and late nights. Some experience in digital news or entertainment media suggested. Desire to live, breathe and own breaking news required. Have a knack for headline writing. Overnight Master Control Operator
WBRZ, the ABC affiliate in Baton Rouge, is looking for a detail-oriented Overnight Master Control Operator to oversee our broadcast operations. This is a critical role ensuring the smooth transmission of live and pre-recorded content.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Midnight – 8:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control broadcast signals, ensuring seamless playout of scheduled programming and commercial content.
- Operate the Crispin automation system and troubleshoot playout issues.
- Ensure accuracy of commercial logs and report discrepancies.
- Respond to technical problems, escalate issues as needed, and communicate with Engineering.
- Maintain the integrity of emergency alert systems and follow FCC regulations.
- Perform routine quality checks on video and audio signals.

Qualifications:
- Experience in Master Control or broadcast operations preferred.
- Familiarity with Crispin automation and Harmonic servers is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to work independently during overnight hours.

Reporter

Investigative Reporter
WBRZ is searching for an Investigative Reporter to add to our award-winning Investigative Unit. A successful candidate should have a knack for navigating complex stories and holding officials accountable. You'll enterprise, research, write, and investigate stories for our broadcast and digital platforms. At least two years of TV, radio, newspaper, or online newsroom experience is required. WBRZ Account Executive
WBRZ- TV is looking for a highly motivated and competitive business professional who is a self-starter to sell advertising solutions to local businesses including digital asset strategies.
The applicant is expected to:

  • Manage and grow an existing account list,
  • Develop new business,
  • Employ excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Meet all revenue and new business goals for multiple entities.

Required Experience:
Ad sales experience is preferred, including knowledge of Comscore ratings, Power Point and other Windows-based software. A college degree and advertising sales experience is preferred.

Internships
WBRZ offers internships each semester in the following departments: News, Marketing, Information Systems, Production, Graphics, Sports, and Weather. Interns will experience firsthand the daily operations of the department and will perform various duties as assigned. Student must be enrolled in a station approved college/university and be approved by the college dean/advisor/chair to take an internship course for curriculum credit and grade.
