TikTok star 'Mr. Prada' found mentally fit to stand trial for alleged murder of Baton Rouge therapist

BATON ROUGE — Terryon Thomas, known on TikTok as "Mr. Prada," was found mentally fit to stand trial for the murder of a Baton Rouge therapist on Thursday.
Two doctors found him competent to stand trial during a sanity hearing ahead of his trial for the September 2024 murder of 69-year-old William Nicholas Abraham.
Doctors added they did find mental illness, but noted that he is competent enough to stand trial.
Thomas' defense requested a further review to determine the sanity of the commission of the alleged crime.
The judge set an Oct. 5 deadline for the reports.
Abraham was found dead, wrapped in a tarp and dumped alongside U.S. 51 in Tangipahoa Parish on Sept. 29.
When Thomas was first booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, he was charged with second-degree murder, but the charge was upgraded to first-degree murder because of the victim’s age. Louisiana law allows for first-degree murder charges when victims are under 12 or over 65.
Thomas' sanity and mental fitness to stand trial have been up for debate at several hearings.
