Man airlifted to hospital after crashing vehicle into Iberville Parish river

PLAQUEMINE - A man was airlifted to a hospital after he crashed his car into an Iberville Parish river and was rescued by first responders.
Sheriff Brett Stassi said the driver was on Belleview Drive near Jack Miller's Landing and drove off of the road and into Upper Grand River around 8:45 p.m.
Crews got the man out of the water. Sheriff Stassi said he had signs of life, and was taken by Airmed to a hospital in Baton Rouge.
WBRZ crews are headed to the area. This is a developing story.
