Men's Basketball Head Coach Will Wade's contract was also approved Friday; he is making around $4 million per year, as WBRZ reported when he was hired in March.
LSU student Connor Daigle said he is excited for the upcoming season under the leadership of Coach Wade.
"I loved him the first time he was here. Him coming back is going to be really good for the program, especially after the last couple of years. He did great at McNeese when he left, so I'm really happy he's back," said Daigle.
The Men's Basketball team has its last exhibition game next Saturday, October 24, at Florida State in Tallahassee. The regular season starts Tuesday, November 3, in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
