MORGAN CITY — New royalty was crowned in Morgan City ahead of the 91st Shrimp and Petroleum Festival. 

King Lou Tamporello Jr. and Queen Isabelle Hernandez were crowned as the king and queen of the upcoming Shrimp and Petroleum Festival on Labor Day weekend.

The festival will take place from Sept. 3 to Sept. 7 in Morgan City.
