BATON ROUGE — Three men who allegedly shot two people following the Southern University Homecoming Parade last month have been arrested for attempted first-degree murder.
Jahiem Demond Johnson, 20, was arrested on Tuesday on various charges, including illegal use of weapons, seven counts of attempted first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated criminal damage to property.
Kedrick Keller, 18, and Jakehireyus Franklin, 19, were arrested on Thursday and booked on seven counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of aggravated criminal damage to property and one count of illegal use of weapons.
Victims told police after the shooting that three cars carrying multiple people, including three children, were leaving the parade when three men jumped out of another vehicle, with Keller holding an AR-15 while Franklin brandished a handgun, according to arrest documents.
All three vehicles were struck by gunfire, with two people being left with non-life-threatening injuries.
