BATON ROUGE- The city's longest-running party with a purpose is back!

On Sept. 25, the Louisiana Art and Science Museum is hosting its 41st Annual Gala. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the museum and is presented by the Pennington Family Foundation.

This year's gala marks the debut of a new exhibition called "Off the Wall: Louisiana Untamed," featuring original works by Louisiana artists including Kevin Rabalais, Malaika Favorite, Ellen Ogden and Randell Henry.

The evening includes multiple open bars, food stations, live entertainment, a silent auction and the Grand Raffle sponsored by Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry.

Money raised supports the museum's educational programs, which reach more than 22,000 students each year through STEAM programming and hands-on learning.

Co-chair Rachel Guidroz said her lifelong appreciation for art and science began in museums, making the museum's mission especially meaningful.

"My love of art, history and science began in museums, where childhood visits sparked a lasting sense of wonder and ultimately shaped my career," Guidroz said. "Those early moments of discovery stayed with me and continue to influence how I see the world today. LASM carries that same spirit by bringing extraordinary exhibitions and educational experiences to our community while inspiring the next generation through curiosity and creativity."

The Grand Raffle features two prizes: a Tudor 36mm luxury watch valued at $4,725 and a three-carat diamond tennis bracelet valued at $5,450. Raffle tickets are $25 each and winners will be drawn during the gala. Participants do not need to be present to win.

Guests are encouraged to wear cocktail attire or a creative costume inspired by Louisiana's landscapes.

Tickets, sponsorship opportunities and additional information are available at LASM.org/Gala.
