ZACHARY - Spooky season brings out the creative side in many people.

But one man puts a twist on getting creative with Jack-O-Lanterns. Robert Barr has a full display of more than 100 pumpkins that he carved by hand.

"The process relaxes me, and it takes about six to eight hours to carve one pumpkin,” Barr says.

He started carving the fake pumpkins in 2008. Each year he adds at least three new pumpkins to the collection. Now, he has 116 pumpkins on display in front of his house. Each pumpkin has its own unique design, from Disney princesses to Marvel superheroes; he also pays tribute to the military with his creations.

"I love putting them on display every year and watching people come up and find their favorite characters," Barr added.

While he welcomes visitors, you can look and take pictures, but you can not touch the pumpkins. It is located at 3712 Main Street in Zachary.
