The weather pattern will be rinse and repeat all the way through this weekend. Expect chilly mornings, warm afternoons, and no rain.

Today & Tonight: Temperatures are about 5-10° cooler than they were yesterday morning so make sure the jackets are ready! The same warm and sunny conditions will continue today. Highs will reach into the lower 80s, with a few passing high clouds from time to time. Overnight, we will reach back into the upper 40s and lower 50s.

Up Next: Very little change in the forecast is expected all the way through the weekend. Highs will increase a bit, but it will not be overly noticeable. Mornings will stay chilly so keep the jackets on standby. Given the very dry conditions and dry air that is expected to continue, fires could spark and spread easily, so avoid outdoor burning if possible. Early next week, you will notice a few more clouds, but the overall feel to the air will be the same. The added clouds will cause lows to uptick a bit, but jackets will still be a good idea.

The Tropics: A storm-force non-tropical low pressure area located a few hundred miles off the mid-Atlantic United States coast is producing some shower and thunderstorm activity primarily west and northwest of its center. Over the next day or two, the low could gradually lose its non-tropical features while it moves slowly north-northeastward over the Gulf Stream, allowing the system to briefly develop subtropical characteristics. By the end of the week, the system is expected to accelerate northeastward away from the the eastern United States, and environmental conditions are expected to become unfavorable for additional subtropical or tropical development.
