BATON ROUGE — Shaw Center for the Arts is hosting a Rooftop Halloween Bash on the River Terrace above downtown Baton Rouge.

WBRZ is a sponsor for the 21+ event, set for 9 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 30. It's on the 4th-floor River Terrace at the Shaw Center for the Arts. Tickets are $50 per person, and guests must present a valid photo ID for entry.

WBRZ reporter David Hamilton will be a judge during the event's costume contest.

The event will feature live music by Sugar Shaker International Party Band, passed hors d'oeuvres by Bacon and Fig Catering and specialty cocktails, beer and seltzers from Daiquiris Supreme. It also includes dancing, photo ops and a costume contest with a $500 cash prize.

The party is rain or shine. Tents, heaters and sidewalls will be provided as needed in the event of inclement weather.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Shaw Center for the Arts Maintenance and Enhancement Fund, which supports the continued care and improvement of the building.
