BATON ROUGE — LSU women's basketball star Mikaylah Williams worked a shift at the original Raising Cane's location on Highland Road on Monday ahead of March Madness.

Williams worked their shift from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and served customers through the drive-thru and at the counter.

Williams, a sophomore, was named 2024 SEC Freshman of the Year during one of the best freshman seasons in the program's history. She was also given the Cheryl Miller Award, which is given to the best small forward in the country.

Aneesah Morrow was originally scheduled for the event but did not go because of a foot injury.

LSU has a 28-5 record heading into the NCAA tournament with projections for a number two seed. The bracket will be announced Sunday.
