A stretch of very quiet weather is in store for the Capital Area. While the daytime hours will be warm, some nights will feature lows in the upper 50s.

Tonight & Tomorrow: A combination of clear skies, light winds, and dry air will allow temperatures to drop quickly overnight. Lows will be able to reach into the upper 50s, which means bring out the light jackets! On Sunday, expect mainly clear skies with highs near 90°. Humidity will remain low.

Up Next: A ridge of high pressure will build and remain in place all of next week. This will lead to very quiet and warm weather. Highs will reach into the lower 90s, with lows in the 60s. While the beginning of the week will feature lows in the lower 60s, they will be in the mid to upper 60s by the week's end. There are early indications of a potential significant cold front next weekend. Some model guidance even shows lows reaching the 40s. Nothing is set in stone just about yet, but it will be something to monitor in the coming days.
