BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge automotive dealer co-founder and longtime board member of the Baton Rouge Area Foundation John Noland has died at the age of 80, according to BRAF. 

Noland was known for launching All-Star Automotive Group with Matt McKay in 1987, which grew to become the largest auto dealership empire in Louisiana, with 12 dealerships by 2010, and Noland Investments.

Noland was also a longtime board member and supporter of BRAF, and reportedly enlisted John Davis to serve as BRAF's first president and CEO. 

He went on to help establish Build Baton Rouge, formerly the East Baton Rouge Parish Redevelopment Authority, and was a founding member of St. James Place in Baton Rouge, a continuing care retirement community in Louisiana. 

The cause of death and funeral arrangements are currently unknown.
