BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission held a news conference to promote Seat Check Saturday, a free statewide event where parents and caregivers can get expert help with child safety seat installation.

Seat Check Saturday is a national event taking place at nine locations across Louisiana on Sept. 26. It is the final event of Child Passenger Safety Week, which promotes the safe use of car seats, booster seats and seat belts for children.

The Baton Rouge location will be held at Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys, 5656 Hilton Ave.
