WACO — The Ascension Parish Little League team will represent Louisiana on Monday in the Southwest Region Tournament championship. 

The team will be playing in Waco, Texas, against Boerne Little League, representing Texas. The tournament will conclude with a one-game championship following the elimination of one of the teams. 

Tulsa National Little League, from Oklahoma, had already won two games in the tournament when the Little League International Committee determine done of the players on the team was ineligible. 

"Little League International is committed to supporting all children impacted by this decision and will continue to provide support and administrative guidance to the families in Tulsa National Little League," Little League said in an online statement.
