BATON ROUGE — AMSURG has acquired Capital Surgery Center, expanding its presence in the Baton Rouge market.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The Nashville-based company describes itself as a leader in ambulatory surgery center services. Capital Surgery Center is its second location in Baton Rouge and its eighth in Louisiana.

The center is located at 8250 Picardy Ave. and spans 8,250 square feet. It has two operating rooms and works with 10 physicians focused on outpatient care.
