A closer look at Cat Haven's new facility that increases capacity from 75 to 125 cats
BATON ROUGE — WBRZ got an exclusive look at the new Cat Haven facility that increases its cat capacity from 75 to 125.
Cat Haven has saved more than 25,000 cats and kittens since 1999.
The new home includes a cat cafe, and visitors can tour the space and meet the cats.
“One of the most important things for us is for the cats to be cage-free to give them a more natural and free environment,” Wendy Decker, founder of Cat Haven, said.
The new center and cafe are located at 530 Shadows Lane in Baton Rouge and are expected to be open by Dec. 1.
In the meantime, if you would like to adopt a feline friend, you can visit the current facility on North Harrells Ferry Road.
